How to make your dog obedient even if your doggy is the holy terror
My Brylow was a VERY naughty doggy. My girlfriend and I got him out of a dinky dog shelter some 5 months ago. We were set on having Brylow the minute we laid eyes on him. He had these cute innocent doggy eyes that seem to plead, “Please take me home guys, I’ll be a good doggy waggy”.
He seemed like a well-behaved dog and with those cute innocent eyes staring longingly at us – we just had to bring this lovable dog to our place. Imagine how happy we were to pick the dog we wanted fairly quickly without spending any more time in the shelter. Felt sorry for the other pooches lying in those cages. How we wish we could bring them all home…
Anyway back to our little Brylow. As I said he seemed obedient at first. He was no trouble during the first couple of days. On the third day and beyond…Brylow turned psycho!
He was totally uncontrollable!
He started chewing and nipping on stuff. Dragging our table cloth and that gorgeous piece of rug we placed underneath the piano chair. We took him out for a walk but he became rowdy, barking at other people’s dogs, much to our embarrassment. He would try to scram out whenever we open the front door and harbors aggression towards my neighbor’s cat Mannop.
The cat was absolutely terrified of him. The weird name aside (my neighbor named him after his favorite nephew who resides in Thailand); Mannop’s a VERY dreadful cat, both in behavior and appearance (Yes Mrs. Janice, your cat is a nuisance too!) I figured that this could be the reason why our Brylow hated that kitty so much…Ok, maybe not. Brylow’s been acting like a jerk towards other people’s pooches as well.
Mannop may be an annoying, constantly horny pussycat but I certainly wouldn’t want him getting mauled to death by a Labrador twice his size!
Who would have thought that this innocent-eyed pooch could turn into Cujo within a short span of 3 days? Okay, I’m exaggerating, but you know what I mean…
Being a horror film fanatic, I theorized that since we live near a cemetery (about 20 minutes walk from our place), Brylow must have been possessed by the spirit of a deranged psychopath.
Anyway the last straw came after one of his chewing frenzy which resulted in the wanton destruction of my girlfriend’s favorite sweater. Spirit or no spirit, something had to be done about Brylow’s domineering attitude. No doubt we have to work hard to train this cute, seemingly innocent turned demonic doggy.
Brylow needs to acknowledge who’s the boss, pronto!
We thought of hiring a dog trainer but decided against it, because it’ll probably cost us hundreds of dollars over many weeks or even months.
That’s when I discovered this dog training course called “Secrets To Dog Training” while I was surfing the net. I was wary initially but the course author, Daniel Stevens seem to know a great deal about dog behavior and the appropriate training methods, judging by the 6 day free mini course that he offered on his website.
The course didn’t cost an arm and a leg and came with several bonuses along with a money back guarantee.
Sweet!
So I bought the course, downloaded the whole package and proceeded to read it from cover to cover. After reading the first 15 pages or so, I knew I was in good hands.
Secrets To Dog Training has loads of useful techniques for resolving all kinds’ of dog behavior problems accompanied by scores of photos.
I tested the training methods outlined in the course on Brylow and voila! He’s now one of the most obedient dogs on the planet. Talk about awesomeness at the highest level.
Well okay, it did take us several weeks to get Brylow to be on his best behavior so I was grateful that the course author has put together a training package that doesn’t leave questions unanswered. My girlfriend and I had plenty of specific questions and they were promptly addressed by Mr. Stevens and his team via the Members Only Secrets To Dog Training Community.
We’re so delighted that Brylow has stopped being a jerk and the course had made all the difference. Any desperate dog owners perturb by their pooches’ behavior problems should check it out.
